After a pretty lame day in the Montafon valley we left and headed back home. We took a little break and then decided to check out some more spots. That takes us to Damüls where we found some really good snow conditions. This particular day had horrible weather and the sunlight was nearly gone so we decided to setup a night shot. We came up with the idea for a pow spray shot. We took a probe to check the snow depth and then decided to go for the shot.

Last weekend the 686 crew rolled up to Big Bear for the 6th annual Hot Dogs and Handrails competition. We posted up and watched the dry landscape turn into a semi-winter wonderland as ice from the city was quickly transformed into snow for the days festivities. Heads in the crowd began to multiply and it before we knew it the entire place was packed.  We tossed tons of goodies into the crowd while rooting for 686 riders Forest Bailey, Ryan Tarbell and Austin Young.

Have you ever wondered what professional snowboarders think about while they’re not snowboarding?

So, last week once again San Diego played host to the annual skate/snow/surf tradeshow that is ASR and, once again, yours truly decided to use this as a good excuse to get outta Utah for a bit.  For all of us who don’t live in the Southern California region, ASR marks a good time of year to take a quick vaca, spend some time on the beach, and see the latest snow vids for the year.

ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars” premiered last night and yes, Louie Vito officially killed it! He may have received a little flack from the judges for his long hair and short stature, but in the end Louie and Chelsea out scored half the competition by receiving the scores of a 6, 7 and a 6.
