Joanna Starts Season Off In Hawaii…?
So while everybody is desperately trying to get on the snow for their first shred, I unpacked my summer clothes and came to Hawaii to relax before the season starts… A good friend of mine moved to Maui last year and I decided it’s time to come for a visit!
On Halloween I swam with a sea turtle, pretty rad, check out the video. Yesterday, I did a cool jungle hike w/huge bamboo sticks and wild fruit, MMMmmmm. At the end of trail there are these water-falls that turn into pools you can sit in. There are three water fall pools above the first one you get to – except you have to use a rope and hike up a wall next to the water fall to get to them. Definitely the scariest thing I’ve ever done outside of snowboarding!!! If you slipped, you’d be crashing down 50 feet onto the rocks/waterfall below you! Anyway, I made it up and down alive and I’ll post some photo’s in the next blog. (I didn’t bring the cord to take photo’s off my camera – booo)
Relaxing in the sun and getting some color seems like a sure way to start off the season happy in a few weeks… Hope everybody is having fun getting on some snow! I know I will be when I get back =)
