The Hermosa Beach Iron Man event is back this year and bigger than ever. It’s all going down July 4th, 2011 at Hermosa Beach, CA. If you were there last year you know the deal… 1 mile run, 1 mile paddle, and 6 beers to chug. Sounds fun right?? On top of all that they’ll be tons of prizes, music, and chaos all over. The Academy Snowboards’ crew reunited for Camp Academy ‘Round 2’ and one last hurrah to cap off the snowboard season at Boreal. Campers enjoyed the forgiving spring conditions on day 1 while adding some last minute moves to their shred resumes. Besides learning board control, park skills, and demoing 2012 Academy Snowboards, campers also got lessons on board waxing and a wheat pasting tutorial to show them how to create their own ‘propaganda’. read more…

Snowboarders Superpark 15 was amazing and I spent this last week down there shredding it up with all the boys. I headed down to Mt Bachelor Oregon to meet up with the Superpark crew, Pat Bridges, and everyone from Snowboarder Magazine for the big week of Superpark and shred it up as our mountains for the most part in the NW have closed by now and I had not gotten my full fix yet.
