It’s official!  686 team rider, Louie Vito, is heading to Vancouver to compete for the USA in the snowboard halfpipe at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Three competitors from the men’s and the women’s teams were named this past weekend under the lights in Park City, Utah following the final Grand Prix competition. While Louie didn’t get a place on the podium this weekend, his overall standings were high enough to procure him a coveted slot on the team. Louie finished with 800 points after having secured two second place finishes at the Copper and Mammoth Grand Prix stops.  Louie is joined on Team USA with Shaun White, Scotty Lago, Kelly Clark, Gretchen Bleiler and Hannah Teter.  The fourth spots for the men and the women, which are still undecided, are expected to be announced this afternoon.
