The seams where pieces of fabric are brought together are the most likely spot for moisture to intrude into a garment. The seam taping process prevents this by making the seams as waterproof as their surrounding fabric. Seams in 686 garments can be fully taped throughout the garment or taped only at critical areas to further ensure quality workmanship and guarantee waterproofing.

Perfect fit, can't wait to rip
Just recently picked up a pair and haven't tested durability but so far love the fit/drip and feature set. I'm 6'2" 34" waist and got the XLs. Perfectly baggy for a tall guy and the waist isn't huge, the included waist belt is almost unneeded. Fabric feels light but durable and there's just enough pockets to not overload but be useful. Print on the waist gaiters as you roll up the pant legs are dope, liner is comfortable and warm without any fill, and minimal artwork/branding etc. keeps these dojo pants as stealthy as can be.
