Who is Tomás Parra-Gómez?
If you're riding in Park City or the Salt Lake valley, chances are you've taken laps with Tomás. A former racer from Virginia, Parra-Gómez doesn’t pigeonhole himself to any specific type of riding; his line selection and riding style are as unique as his personal expression.
He revolves his life around bikes: tinkering and fixing bikes at Park City Bike & Demo, then riding his own around Utah and beyond. He’s dead set on changing the way we think about approaching the sport.

Why Bike the Elevation of Everest?
Parra-Gómez: A big part of this project was descending something that lets you have fun. I really enjoy riding down hills, so it was just as much about descending the 29k as it was about climbing it for me.
As much as I want to inspire people to ride what they got, I also want to inspire people to simply ride. I think a lot people don't go exploratory rides anymore to just find cool terrain...I think those adventure rides are super important to what the community is. We're all looking to just have a fun time, to find new things that stoke us out.

Art Collazo, Filmer
“Filming was fun and exhausting—setting up shots and keeping track of timing for that long, but watching someone push past their limits to hit their goals was insane. It was absolutely an amazing experience and any hate I had towards e-bikes is now gone.”
Elan Maj, Producer
“Filming was absolute chaos. For the first 12 hours Tomás was moving way faster than Art and I anticipated. The first lap we had to jump in my truck just to catch up with him before he started climbing up PCMR and then we pedaled the e-bikes as fast as we could to catch up. Art had his camera in his hand which didn’t work so well and we took a couple wrong turns along the way."
